The most important step in the manufacturing process is heat treatment. Heat treatment gives to those instruments that are made of harden-able chromium steels in order to attain the required strength, tenacity and corrosion resistance
Instruments are heated in a very high level of temperature then frozen by quick cooling process. This results the consistent distribution of chromium substance which improve the corrosion resistance ability. In tempering process instruments are kept at a temperature of about 250°C (482°F) for more than a few hours. In this process our instruments are properly treated to achieve required hardness value. The tempered instruments are significantly more elastic and less prone to fractures.
